— President Biden will host a Modern Music room at his Beaufort, W.
Va., library this fall to promote music and the arts in the White House.
The room, which will be open to the public, is scheduled to open in January 2019.
The music room will also host an evening event with the Vice President’s wife, Jill Biden.
The event will be the first such event hosted by the White’s First Family since the music room opened in 2012.
“Biden and his wife Jill have long been advocates for the arts, and I’m excited to welcome them to the White house to welcome the Modern Music Library to the family,” Vice President Joe Biden said in a statement.
The first White House event to feature an evening musical concert will also be a celebration of music and art in the Oval Office.
The evening event is scheduled for July 29, 2019, at 6 p.m.
The White House is also hosting a celebration at the White, Washing, D.C., mansion, featuring live music, art installations, a balloon art display and an auction.
It will also feature a special event for guests of honor at the mansion, a private dinner on August 3 featuring Biden, first lady Jill Biden and Vice President Mike Pence.
The inaugural events of the first family, hosted by Biden at the residence and in the D. C. mansion, have been attended by celebrities and dignitaries including Beyonce, Jay-Z, David Bowie, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, the Beatles and many more.
The two first families have also worked together to launch the Biden Foundation, a nonprofit organization aimed at providing financial assistance to families of the vice president.
