The new music room in the Indian Parliament, located in the room for the House of Representatives, has been officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
The new music hall has been inaugurated on Thursday in the new “Music Hall of India”, which is one of the first new venues in India for modern music.
The room, which will be the focal point of Modi’s speech, will be used for concerts, concerts and music workshops, the minister said.
Modi said he wanted to highlight India’s contribution to the global music scene.
“India has played a key role in creating the modern music scene and has been instrumental in the globalisation of popular music and the development of Indian artists,” Modi said.
“We are here to honour and give thanks for our countrymen and women.
We have created this music hall for music lovers.”
He said that since he took over as PM, the government has created a music hall at the Centre for Indian Artists and it has been one of his first initiatives to have a music venue.
“This is the first time in the history of India that a new music venue has been opened by the Prime Minister,” he said.
The first music hall in the National Assembly was inaugurated in 2015 in the first year of his government.
