The United Nations will host the world’s largest library for music and arts in December, the U.N. said in a press release Thursday.
The library will be the first in the world to open after a $2.8 billion construction program launched in March.
It will be a “unique venue to showcase the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the world” and “provide a platform for the global community to engage with the world,” the U,N.
Library System said in the press release.
It is unclear what the library will look like or how many people will be able to use it.
The U.S. was the first country to host the library.
The building will house two large libraries, each with more than 600,000 books.
They will be located in New York City and the United Arab Emirates, which have the most libraries in the Middle East and Africa.
